“The Golden
Rule”
(Selected excerpts from the
Augusta Chronicle insert, November 2005)
Most
businesses normally follow the lead of the top executive as far as the
personality and image of that company. That
is very evident at Augusta Mitsubishi and Saturn of Augusta from everyone you
meet at the dealerships located at 1768 and 1770 Gordon Highway.
General
Manager, Mark Boyd, has a very straightforward way of doing business that
follows the Golden Rule; do unto others, as you would have them do unto
you. The entire staff buys into this
honest, ethical philosophy and it’s a refreshing change from many businesses
who are involved in the “get ahead by any means possible” style of doing
business. “Our basic philosophy of
doing business is the two G’s and the two P’s…God and the Golden Rule combined
with personnel and pom-poms.” God and
the Golden Rule are self explanatory according to Boyd and the two P’s are
“hire the right personnel and cheer them on.
It’s the way we treat our employees internally and our customers that
makes us successful.”
In
an era when corporate scandals and unethical business practices are rampant in
America, Augusta Mitsubishi and Saturn of Augusta proudly proclaim their
Christian values and desire to give the customer complete satisfaction and
respect while doing business with them.
A word from the General Manager:
“We don’t teach automotive sales to our sales people, we teach
relationship sales. Nobody wants to be
sold anything, they want help with their purchase. You are not going to trick today’s public, and our reputation is
not worth one deal. If you are not
satisfied, see a manager or myself. We
will not hide. We don’t just talk the
talk and we’re not just rhetoric. Your
complete satisfaction is our goal!”
-Mark Boyd
